So, I am headed for a chest x-ray this morning. My brother died of lung cancer at the age of 38, so each year I go through this ritual as a precautionary checkup. X-rays will assure me that everything is OK or point out that in which is not.
The psalmist says in Psalm 139:23-24:
Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
So, what might God find with a X-ray of your heart? The psalmist invites God to do just that. He wants to know if there is anything; any attitude, thought, belief, passive aggressive behavior, that is offensive to the Kingdom in him.
Why not take a 30 minute walk today and ask God to search your heart! LISTEN to what He shows you! Have a great day, and let’s talk in the AM.
